Many of us approach prayer like placing an online order, expecting fast results and feeling frustrated when God doesn't respond on our timeline. But prayer was never meant to be a transaction. It is a conversation with a God who genuinely cares about us and works at the pace of love, which is often slow. Romans 8 reminds us that real spiritual change does not come from trying harder or checking off religious boxes. It comes from opening ourselves to what the Holy Spirit is already doing inside us. The fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5 is not a list of behaviors to perform but a picture of the character that naturally grows when we make space for God. The invitation is simple: stop presenting God with a list and start holding space for a real conversation.
