Thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled up your sleeves, dealt with high temps, and spent last Sunday serving our community. From painting and landscaping to cleaning, organizing, and lending a helping hand, you reminded us of something really important: NEC’s promise to be a blessing beyond our walls.
More than 150 volunteers worked on 16 community projects and then came back to NEC for lunch.
It was pretty incredible to see kids, teenagers, adults, families, friends, and people of all ages working side by side. We got to serve people we may never have met otherwise, strengthen relationships with organizations doing great work in our communities, and remind ourselves that even seemingly ordinary acts of service can make a real difference.
Thank you to everyone who served, everyone who organized a project, everyone who invited a friend or family member, and everyone who made the day possible behind the scenes. And a special thank-you to our community partners who welcomed us and gave us the opportunity to serve alongside them.
Thanks for being a church that doesn’t just talk about loving our neighbors.
You actually showed up and did it.
