The Golden Rule is simple: treat others the way you want to be treated. Jesus gave this principle its clearest expression in the Sermon on the Mount, and Luke 6:37-38 unpacks what it looks like in practice. When we choose not to judge, not to condemn, and instead forgive and give generously, something shifts, both in our relationships and in how God works in our lives. Our culture constantly pushes back against this, celebrating self-protection and personal boundaries over genuine care for others. But living by the Golden Rule is actually less costly in the long run than the exhaustion of broken relationships, guilt, and envy. God is not keeping score. He is revealing how He designed life to work, and when we align with that design, we begin to experience the results.
