God designed us to reflect His character into the world around us, and that means actually seeing the people we pass every day. Jesus modeled this perfectly, moving toward need without bias, whether the person was wealthy, marginalized, sick, or powerful. Most of us are not indifferent by choice. We are simply running on habits that keep us moving past the moments that matter. Like physical muscle memory, our spiritual patterns can be retrained. When we choose to notice someone, meet a need, or step into service, we encounter Christ in that moment. His love is not meant to stay contained in us. It is meant to move outward through us and into the lives of everyone around us.
