These groups are casual, welcoming, and centered around building community through shared passions and authentic friendships. Some even add a little prayer or spiritual reflection along the way.

Come join this new NEC Bible study based on the groundbreaking tv series about the life of Jesus! Each week we will discuss an episode from the show, bringing the Old and New Testaments to life in a fresh way. Who is this study for? You! Because, whether you're starting out on the Jesus road or you're decades along, being chosen has far-reaching ramifications and endless applications. Wednesdays at 7pm at NEC!

Wrapped in Love: Prayer Shawl Ministry

Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. in the lobby

Do you like to knit (or crochet) or want to learn how? Would you like to comfort someone during a difficult time? We run an amazing, weekly Prayer Shawl Ministry to knit (or crochet) Prayer Shawls. Talk to Janice Wilson or Donna Heriot or just show up on Thursdays from 10:30 am to noon. We aren’t hard to find—we meet right in the entrance to the church (where all the comfy couches are!) Come show us your knitting (or crocheting) skills and make a difference!

NEC Cyclists' Group

If you like cycling—road, trail, a little of both—why not take a ride with us?? The NEC Cyclists’ Group is meant for casual fun and exercise; it does not require great skills, or even great bikes. Sign up or send Kevin Kempskie a message if you’re interested in riding with us some Sunday. You’ll love it (even if your thighs don’t )… Leader: Kevin Kempskie. Adult Watercolor Class

Mondays, 10 a.m. to noon in Big Kids Zone

Come and enjoy the art of watercolor! You'll leave with a beautiful finished project each time. Beginners and all adults are welcome! $25 per class. Payable to Laurie Martin at the first class.
